Previous Meeting Acceptance: The previous meeting minutes were accepted.

Guest Speaker - John Chapman from the South Rockies Conservation Group:

Heather introduced the guest speaker, John Chapman, from the South Rockies Conservation Group.  Mr. Chapman introduced the Community Wildfire Protection Plan for the Fall River Watershed.  This plan will be posted on the GCCHLA website and all are encouraged to review and give in-put on the priority recommended hazard reduction projects listed in the plan.  Please provide in-put to Matt Taylor regarding suggested priority projects at: tempMattTaylor@yorkgulch.com.  Funding is available once the community has finalized the CWPP.

Old Business:

  • No progress on mailboxes
  • No new volunteers for York Gulch Fire Department

New Business:

  • Revisit of 2009 goals:
    Spent $3K on culverts
Discussion about York Gulch Kiosk – consensus to put on ‘back-burner’ for now
Lengthy discussion on road grading plan for this summer – grading and ditch work will begin at the Octopus and come down (reverse order); no culvert work this year;  $4500 approved to be spent on best bid; this was considered the “make people happy plan” not necessarily the wisest (without having known source of road base); Dan Lovato may be a source of road base, uncertain at this time.  Motion to approve this plan made by Heather Huntoon; seconded by Curtis DePoyster.
  • It's planned to have Dan Lovato attend the next HOA  meeting to explain the forest service fees required for York Gulch road use among other items.
