New Business/Updates

  • New Home & Landowner introductions – Welcome to the neighborhood!
  • Discussion related to inquiries / requests made to the HOA for expanded services from the association related to road improvements & maintenance (grading, plowing, etc.)*. A survey to gage the interest level for services was sent out in the mailer with the annual letter & dues invoice for those who would like to provide input on this topic. Additional copies are available at the HOA table if you would like one.

*Based on the discussion during the meeting, and on feedback from the survey responses, there is not enough interest within the community to pursue expanded HOA services at this time. This agenda item is considered closed.

  • The most recent treasurer’s report will be included in the minutes from this meeting. Previous numbers from June meeting were provided for those members who were unable to attend that meeting.
  • GCCHLA board elections will be fully electronic this year. In order to receive a ballot, we must have a valid e-mail address for you. If you would like to be on the 2017 board, please email your name to secretary@yorkgulch.com. If you are on the 2016 board and would like to be removed from the 2017 ballot, please contact Mari Jo Crouse or Curtis DePoyster.
  • E-mail is also used as a means of communicating opportunities to share the cost of equipment rentals, road closures, emergency information, etc. so it is important that we have an updated e-mail. If you are not currently receiving emails, please send your name and e-mail address to secretary@yorkgulch.com
  • Discussion regarding the importance of homeowner’s participation and attendance at the quarterly board meetings. Meeting information is posted near the bottom of York Gulch and sent out via e-mail approximately one week prior to the meeting date.
  • Asked everyone to fill out surveys, and update their mailing addresses if they did not receive the annual letter.
  • Clear Creek County road base grant: The association has received road base every year for last 3 years.  The County’s road base grant program is available again for 2017 and a petition will be submitted on behalf of the association. We need a minimum of 25 signatures from members who are within Clear Creek County on the petition. Last year we received 980 tons of road base. (update: Petition for 2017 road base was submitted to Clear Creek County on 9/21/16 on behalf of GCCHLA).
  • John Bottomley – information and update regarding dues and what the money is applied to (special use permits for road access and insurance policy, annual meeting, annual mailing). A full financial statement is available on the website at www.yorkgulch.com
  • Guests available for information regarding County Elections and Healthcare initiative that will be on the 2016 ballot – Laurie Beckel (healthcare initiative), Nancy Judge (District 2 East County Commissioner) and Randy Wheelock (District 3 West County Commissioner). All are available for questions and will be onsite after the meeting adjourns.
  • Motion to adjourn made and passed.
